Hi all! Thanks for taking the time to review my page. My name is Kris Zigich and I am a Bozeman-based photographer working in different parts of the western U.S. including Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and California.
My connection to photography and videography began at a young age as I developed interests in outdoor activities such as climbing, surfing and snowboarding. I came to love the challenge of pushing myself physically to enhance my ability to capture stunning, unique images of my favorite action sports. Over time, I realized that photography and cinematography gave me the ability to express my passion and enthusiasm in ways that I'd never found possible with words.
After Graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Spanish major and Photography minor, I landed my first photography gig in my hometown of Twin Falls, ID. I worked as a photojournalist at the Twin Falls Times Newspaper. As an amateur photographer, this job granted me the opportunity to learn from professionals in the field and begin honing my camera and editing skills that I continue to use and build upon today. This job was instrumental in my understanding of photography and initiated my drive to continue improving and creating.
I moved to Bozeman, MT in pursuit of a place that could accommodate my outdoor lifestyle and my goals as a photographer. My career here in Bozeman began with tourism photography. I shot everything from rafting, climbing and snowboarding to family and individual portrait photography atop Lone Peak. Since my photos and videos began catching wind within Bozeman's outdoor community I've had my work published in various guide books and magazines along with accreditation in many well-known social media outlets. Eventually, this exposure opened many doors to establish myself as a professional wedding photographer and commercial videographer which has lead to starting my own media business.
